The Ballsbridge pub owned by Irish rugby players was flooded with beer after a tank burst
BACK IN 2014, professional Irish rugby players Seán O’Brien, Jamie Heaslip and brothers Rob and Dave Kearney took over the Dublin 4 pub which was formerly known as Bellamy’s.
The four men renamed the pub ‘The Bridge 1859′, after the area it’s located in (Ballsbridge) and the year that the building first became a pub (1859). In the years since, it’s become a popular spot for rugby fans, thanks to its situation between the RDS and the Aviva stadium.
They’ve even opened a mini popup of The Bridge at festivals, further proving its success. However, over the weekend, The Bridge was struck by disaster when a beer tank burst and absolutely drenched the pub and its poor staff members.
Jamie Heaslip shared a video of the pure chaos that followed, and wrote “Have you ever wondered if we have beer in our tanks in The Bridge? Well here’s proof.”
Heaslip joked that the mess was a “not-so-planned foam party”. We do not envy the person who had to mop all of that up afterwards.
